Professor at the Department of Nursing, University of Seville. BSc in Psychology (1989). PhD in Psychology (2005). He teaches in the Degree of Podiatry (subject ‘Psychology’), in the Degree of Optics and Optometry and Double Degree of Optics and Optometry and Pharmacy (subject ‘Interpersonal Relations and communication skills’), and the Master's Degree in New Trends in Health Sciences (subject ‘Relations and Therapeutic Communication in Health Sciences’). 

He has extensive experience in the field of academic management, having served as Deputy Director of the University School of Health Sciences (1999-2005), Director of the University School of Health Sciences (2005-2010), Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Physiotherapy and Podiatry (2010- 2013), and Director of the Secretariat of Relations with Health Institutions (2016-2021).
