Professor in the Department of Nursing at the Faculty of Nursing, Physiotherapy and Podiatry, University of Seville. Graduate in Humanities and Advanced Degree in Nursing. Master's Degree in New Trends in Health Sciences. Doctorate from the University of Seville. Lecturer in Family and Community Health Nursing and Psychosocial Nursing.  

She previously worked as a nurse in different areas. She has participated in several congresses and conferences, being an invited speaker in many of them. She has participated in numerous continuing education programmes with health professionals. 

She is currently participating in two active research projects: "Longitudinal and experimental study on the effectiveness of training for the improvement of adaptation to breast cancer and prognosis of the disease", and in the TEC-MED Project "Development of a transcultural social-ethical-care model for dependent population in the Mediterranean Sea Basin" (A_A.3.2_0376 TEC-MED ENI CBC MED - Europe).
